Reviews from the Parents
It’s a fitting last book in the series with plenty of surprises and, as usual, memorable characters, interesting facts, and an exciting, clever plot. My kids didn’t expect what happened at the end of the story, but it all worked out to their amazement. The last epilogue made them ask, “What’s next?”
5.0 out of 5 stars! Great and Vivid Details
In the eighth book Art Collins takes us to Hong Kong and introduces a gallery of friendly new characters as well as new enemies. In this amazing eighth installment of the Archibald and Jockabeb series you will be stunned and fascinated by the vivid details he once again manages to create.”
We just finished reading the eighth book earlier this week, and the ninth book this morning. I have visited both Hong Kong and Sydney, and now my kids want me to take them to both places. I must admit we are sorry the series is over. My kids really enjoyed the storylines, and they learned a lot about the places in the world that Archibald and Jockabeb visited. The beautiful illustrations also really helped to bring the characters and the stories alive. Kudos to the author and artist.
A great adventure book! I really loved this book and have already given it to my daughter who is reading it right now. She enjoys good adventure stories and I’m sure she will like this one as well.
My son (10) has never been much of a reader, though very bright and motivated in other areas. This is the first series he has anxiously looked forward to during our reading time at night. Just mysterious enough to be captivating, but not too much to be scary.
Art Collins has done it again, only this time scoring his next big hit in the Caribbean. Lots of action, twists and turns, and answers to some of the mystery left hanging in his last book. KC Collins’ artwork is once again wonderful.
This book picks up right where we left off in the fourth book. It reveals secrets and answers the questions left hanging in the previous book. With page-turning secrets being revealed, this book is sure to please any fans of the previous four books.
This book is by far the most mysterious and intriguing out of the other previous three. It has descriptive and constantly changing plots and by the end of the book, leaves people wanting to read more.
So cool how the boys move to an even more foreign and trying environment overseas into the exotic and exciting Brazil. I love the setting and giving children the wonder of another country.
This book is perfect reading for my nephew. The stories are very well written and quite imaginative. I especially like the fact that they are set in a time before cell phones and portable video games… when kids had to entertain themselves!
